Police are searching for clues in the disappearance of a 28-year-old woman whose car was found abandoned more than an hour away from her Hollywood Hills apartment.

Laura Lynne Stacy was last seen by her roommate on Sunday. Her parents say she may have gone out to meet with people that evening but never returned.

They grew worried when she stopped responding to their texts. They knew something was really wrong though when a stranger texted them at 5am Monday morning, after finding Stacy's phone in a puddle at a park in Santa Clarita - 30 miles north of her L.A. home.
