A 25-year-old man from Washington state accused of repeatedly raping two young brothers has reportedly told investigators the boys were the ones who made sexual advances at him.
Eric Mayer, has been charged with two counts of child rape for allegedly assaulting an 8-year-old and his 6-year-old brother last month outside Auburn.
According to court documents filed in the case and obtained by Seattlepi.com, when the children were asked by detectives if anyone had done anything to their bodies, they replied 'yes.'
Eric Mayer, 25, was ordered held on $500,000 at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Cente rin Kent, Washignton (above) after being charged with repeatedly raping two young boys
Prosecutor Nicole Weston wrote that the victims 'had to not only endure numerous sexual assaults by the defendant but they had to watch the other go through the same thing.'
The two children were acquaintances the suspect. The older boy told police Mayer would take him and his younger sibling to a metal storage shed, which he described as a 'hot box,' and show them pornographic pictures and videos.
The 25-year-old also would allegedly expose his genitals inside the hut, located near a high school athletic field.
On one occasion, Mayer allegedly asked the older brother to perform a sex act on him, but the 8-year-old refused. On another occasion, the man allegedly pleasured himself in front of the child after again failing to compel him to perform sexual acts.
The court documents list two additional encounters between Mayer and the brothers that took place in the 8-year-old's bedroom, and which involved the 6-year-old allegedly performing sexual acts on the grown man.
Mayer also offered the young siblings gifts of knives in exchange for sexual favors, according to the court filings.
When interviewed by police on October 12, Mayer, who had been jailed in the Kent Regional Justice Center on an unrelated charge, denied any inappropriate behavior with the two children, calling them 'liars' and 'thieves.'
At the conclusion of the interview, the 25-year-old reportedly told detectives, 'The boys came on to me.'
Mayer was charged last week with first-degree child rape and ordered held on $500,000 bail.
