Georgina Onuoha says men should understand the place of women just like Ooni of Ife
Nollywood actress Georgina has taken to social media to point out and acknowledge the good virtue of the great king of Ife land. The Ooni of Ife and hopes younger generation can emulate this.
The actress shared the king’s portrait picture with his wife Wuraola. While in the olden days, the king sits on his royal sit while the Queen sits at his feet but the Ooni of Ife does his family portrait in a new pattern showing love and respect to his queen.
The new Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is often seen everywhere with his Queen Wuraola Zynab Ogunwusi. Their family portrait showed the Queen sitting on the royal chair while the King stood with the staff of honour in his hand.
Georgina perceiving the picture as the definition of true love, respect and honour wrote a lengthy note alongside the image.
In all his glory as the most respected King in Yoruba land and Nigeria as a whole. Yet the Ooni of Ife Ooni Adimulaife understands the place of his queen Oloriwura Olaogunwusi; the one who makes him happy, the one who alone has the power to his stomach. This portrait symbolizes so much grace and humility even in power. I hope all of our kids boys and girls will take a closer look at this portrait and understand the true meaning of love, respect and humility regardless of how highly placed we are in our given society and the power/authority we hold or represent. Treat one another with respect and love. A woman completes her man only when she is given her due place of honor. Proudly Nigerian.
